Ragnhild Lundén is a visual Swedish artist, born in Gothenburg 1945. Lunden is mainly a painter, working with abstract forms in saturated warm almost exotic colors, unusual for Swedish artists.

Early life
Ragnhild Lundén has university education from the University of Gothenburg (examined 1975 as a dentist). She worked with virological research there during and after her studies (until 1983) . Then she turned her life and became a professional artist.
Lunden as an artist
From the very beginning you can find signs, like triangles, crosses and circles in her work, later also hieroglyphs and Arabian signs, symbols that have been used by humanity in many parts of the world from the very beginning of history for communication as well as ornamentation. If you look carefully, you can also find traces from Lundens research using the electron microscope. Finding it in her building bricks.
In January 1990, Lundén started to exhibit her art in a solo exhibition at the Galerie Video Art Genevensis in Genéva, Switzerland. All pictures were black and no one was sold
The week after she opened another solo exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the Gothenburg Art Association. This time she showed hughe bright paintings, which got better attention.
In December the same year Lundén participated in the Osaka Triennale of Painting, Osaka, Japan.
More exhibitions followed in Japan, and 1994 Ragnhild was invited to have a solo show at the ASAHI Gallery in Osaka, reviewed in the Japanese daily newspaper Sanke. She continued to exhibit in Japan at Gallery D.O. in Osaka and at Galeria Finarte in Nagoya. When " the Sweden-Japan Campaign" was held in Japan, Lundén participated with a solo show at the Swedish Embassy. She was also invited to participate at the Nordic Film Festival in Tokyo that year.
Lunden has also held exhibitions in Canada, Australia, Germany, Denmark and Jordan

Lundén is represented at counties and communities in Sweden and Denmark.
In Germany at the Leipziger Gewandthaus. (where she held membership in BBK (Bundesverband der Bildende Künstler Deutschlands, Member nr 8114) as well as I.A.A. ( International Artists Society, entrance year 2005) In Australia at the Swedish Consulate in Melbourne, at the Macquarie Sculpture Parc, Sydney " the Cage of Anaeshetics". You can call Ragnhild Lunden a Globetrotter. She has travelled to many places on the globe. This has resulted in interest in other cultures. She participated at the Brande International Workshop as early as 1991 and has received the Brande Honorary Distinction for her Cultural Contribution. Ragnhild Lunden is, in cooperation with the Jordanian artist Dr. Khalid Khreis, initiative taker and curator to the Sweden- Jordan project ”the Dance of Visions”, meant to open the door for artists from Sweden to Jordan and vice verse, bridging over cultures. ( at the time-between 2006 and 2008, Lundén was a member of the board at the Gothenburg art Association) This has resulted in the exhibition " Dance of Visions I" at Jordan National Gallery, Amman, Jordan 2007 and " Dance of Visions II" at Röda Sten, Gothenburg Sweden 2009. Lunden was also active as exhibiting artist in the exhibitions. The cooperation has also resulted in giving Swedish artists a possibility to participate in the Jordan art life. For instance was the Swedish sculptor Pål Svensson invited to a workshop in Amman. His work, at the workshop, is now placed in the sculpture park of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Art in Amman. The project Dance of Visions, will be taken to another level in Paris, with alternating exhibitions between European and Arab Countries in the Persian Gulf, starting with Dance of Visions III, a cluster of separate exhibitions, at IMA (Institute du Monde Arabe) 2012 where Lunden and among others the British sculptors Tony Cragg and Bill Woodrow will participate. In Oct. and Nov 2011 Ragnhilds paintings were on show at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman, invited to this solo exhibition by the artist H.R.H. Princess Wijdan Ali and the artist Khalid Khreis.
