Race War Kingdoms, also called RWK, is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released in 2001, developed and published by Glitchless LLC. Race War Kingdoms is mostly text-based with some graphical implementations and does not have high system requirements.

Contents

Race War Kingdoms is a browser game that requires an internet connection to play.

Gameplay

Players begin by creating a character of a selected race, resulting in a level 0 character with a basic set of equipment. Players can then begin adventuring and fighting monsters. Players are able to chat while they are playing the game when the player's character reaches level 1.

Kingdoms

Players are able to obtain kingdoms by settling in a location which isn't occupied by anyone else. High level players maintain multiple kingdoms, also called a plex, and gather interest gold by depositing certain amount of gold into the kingdom. Players can also attack other players kingdoms using a kingdom of their own.

Skills

Skills can range from 0 to 125 and go up randomly, meaning there isn't a skill bar indicating when a character earns another skill. Level advancement depends on the percentage of experience put towards skills. The higher percentage of experience a player has going towards skills, the higher their chance of earning a skill increase. Characters can only train one skill at a time, but they can be proficient in multiple categories. Skills become more difficult to improve as they mature.

Quests

RWK's quests are primarily obtained by going to a specific location, talking to special NPCs, or defeating certain monsters at specific locations. Quest items are designed to enhance the characters, and some of the powerful quest items are also obtainable by purchasing them from Glitchless. However, all quest items are obtainable by playing the game without purchasing them.

Controversy

Although the game is no longer in its prime, the creator has ceased to put in new content creating player base to dwindle. The game has also seen a lot of characters falsely banned for a myriad of reasons, to include players looking to cash in on banned characters kingdom complex locations. A war game, survival of the fittest and capitalizing upon others' misfortune resulted in banning.

Additional

The creator fabricates reasons to ban players, against the specified TOS. Many players have been a victim of such actions like Mauce the Waus.
