The Ra’ad Rehabilitation Goodwill Complex (RRGC) is a private charity institute, dedicated solely to promote the cause of the physically disabled community. It was established under the laws of Islamic Republic of Iran in 1984 (Registration number 28111).

Foundation and history
The institution began work with five applicants in a temporarily donated premises of two small rooms, at a charity medical clinic, located in a low income suburb south of Tehran, RRGC now operates from its own building, a nearly 4,000 sq.m. (in excess of 40,000 sq.ft.) facility, constructed on a parcel of land measuring 2,800 sq m. to which RRGC holds the title deed.
The complex has trained in excess 5,000 applicants. There are regular annual charity bazaars twice a year arranged by the two main volunteer groups of Ra'ad; The Ra'ad Charitable Ladies Association (founded in 1994) and The Ra'ad Youth Benevolent Association (founded in 1996).
As an educational, philanthropic and charitable institution, Ra'ad offers three broad areas of services. These include rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, orthopedic and daily mental health care), vocational training (computer programming and operation, hardware assembly, typing, civil and industrial drafting, accounting, home appliance repairs, sewing, sculpture, flower making and pottery) and a variety of auxiliary or support services (honorary loans, financial grants, in-house and referral medical services by volunteer physicians, transportation to and from a downtown station, library facilities, counseling services, social work assistance, home visits and marriage counseling).
Services
Ra’ad offers three broad areas of services which include rehabilitation, occupational therapy and variety of auxiliary and lateral services.
All the services are offered free of charge to all qualified applicants. The institution is funded exclusively by popular donations and private financial support. In offering the services, Ra’ad does not discriminate on the basis of the applicants’ race, creed, gender, religious affiliation, color or ethnic origin. On March 24, 1997, RRGC was officially granted association status with the United Nations Department of Public Information as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), as a private and non-political charity institute.
With 12 branches across the country, RRGC offers various vocational and hand-made artifact-making educational programs. In addition, the complex offers other services such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupation therapy, psychotherapy, social work and consultation services carried out by the most professional and reliable staff. The complex also facilitates free transportation for students from South and East of Tehran back and forth to the complex.
