R. V. Swaminathan( R.V.S) was an FORMER CENTRAL MINISTER, Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu and Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu.
He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Madurai constituency as an Indian National Congress candidate in 1971 and 1977 elections.in1980 he was elected from Sivaganga (Lok Sabha constituency)
He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Sivaganga constituency as an Indian National Congress candidate in 1952 and 1962 elections.
