Quincy Devone Butler (born November 25, 1981) is an American football cornerback who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Texas Christian University.

Early years
Butler graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 2001. He was named First-team All-District as a quarterback in both his junior and senior seasons.
TCU
Butler he played college football at Texas Christian University, where he helped the TCU Horned Frogs win a conference championship in 2005 and was named First-team All-Mountain West Conference when he played in 11 games and made 74 tackles (56 solo) and intercepted two passes for 108 yards and one touchdown. In 2004 made 56 tackles including 38 solo stops and picked off a pair of passes and broke up five others.
Tyler Junior College
Was a two-time selection on the Southwest Junior College Football Conference All-league team. He was selected to the 2003 NJCAA All-America team as a sophomore at Tyler Junior College. Butler picked off five passes in 2003, returning one for a touchdown and recorded 151 tackles and eight interceptions in his two seasons at Tyler.
Before the draft
Butler did not work out at the NFL Combine. At his pro day workout, he measured 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m), 190 pounds and ran a 4.40 40-yard time.
Dallas Cowboys
On May 2, 2006, Butler was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. He was released in preseason and signed to the practice squad on September 4, 2006. He was released in preseason of 2007 and again, assigned to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. After the season, on January 11, 2008, he was released from the practice squad and re-signed five days later by the Cowboys. On August 25, 2008, Butler was released by the Dallas Cowboys during the preseason for the third consecutive season.
New Orleans Saints
On October 18, 2008, the New Orleans Saints signed him to their practice squad; he was released on December 5, 2008.
St. Louis Rams
Four days later he was signed as a free agent by the St. Louis Rams for the 2009 NFL season.
New Orleans Saints
Butler was signed by the New Orleans Saints on October 20, 2010, replacing Randall Gay, who was placed on injured reserve. Butler was cut by the Saints to make room for Darren Sharper.

Butler was signed to Rams roster on October 26, 2010.

On August 18, 2011, Butler re-signed with the Saints.
Calgary Stampeders
Butler signed by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) on October 17, 2011. He made his CFL debut against the Montreal Alouettes on October 30, 2011. He left the team for the season in October 2014 after being declared ineligible to work in Canada. He had earlier pleaded guilty to assaulting a cab driver outside of a casino in May 2014.
Portland Thunder
On April 16, 2015, Butler was assigned to the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League (AFL). On May 2, Butler threw his helmet into the stands at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia after being ejected from the game. The league has not yet decided a punishment for his actions. He was placed on reassignment on May 4, 2015.
