The Qingdao No.1 International School of Shandong Province (Chinese: 山东省青岛第一国际学校, QISS) is an accredited by Qingdao Local Bureau of Education and provides education mainly for expatriates of Qingdao and returned oversea Chinese children. Curriculum
The QISS curriculum is designed to follow the U.S. Common Core Standards and the standards set by the College Board. The school offers the AP International Diploma and is a PSAT and SAT designated testing site.
Mission & Philosophy
The QISS aims to provide a challenging academic program that develops the core character traits of "vitality, courage, sensitivity, intelligence, and compassion" under the program "Developing a Mindful Heart". The school addresses this through Expected School-wide Learning Results (ESLRs).
