Prosper Cravath, Jr. (May 28, 1809 – May 20, 1886) was an American farmer and lawyer from Whitewater, Wisconsin who held various public offices, including being a member of the 1st Wisconsin Legislature from Walworth County.

Background

Cravath was born in Cortland, New York on May 28, 1809, the eldest son of Prosper Cravath (known as "Deacon Cravath") and Miriam Kinney, who would have a total of sixteen children.
