The Pro-Cathedral of Ghardaïa (French: Pro-cathédrale de Ghardaïa) or simply Cathedral of Ghardaia, is the name given to a religious building that is located in the town of Ghardaïa in the province of the same name north of the African country of Algeria. Replacing an old catholic cathedral dedicated to Saint-Hilarion in Laghouat that was secularized.
The temple is the pro-cathedral or temporary cathedral of his jurisdiction, follows the Roman or Latin rite and serves as the seat of the catholic diocese of Laghouat (Dioecesis Laghuatensis) that was created by decision of Pope Pius XII by bull Dum Tantis.
It is under the pastoral responsibility of the Bishop Claude Rault Jean Narcisse.
