Biography
Prince Henrik was born at Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital) weighing 3032 grams and 49 cm long.
Henrik has two older half-brothers from his father's first marriage, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, and a younger sister Princess Athena.
As with his brothers and cousins, his names were not revealed until his christening, which took place on 26 July 2009 at the Mogeltonder Church, where older brother Felix was also christened. At his christening he was named Henrik Carl Joachim Alain after his paternal grandfather; his father and his maternal grandfather. Henrik's second name, Carl, is possibly after his last surviving great-granduncle, Count Carl Johan Bernadotte (1916-2012), who attended his christening.
His godparents are the Crown Princess of Denmark (paternal aunt), Charles Cavallier and Benjamin Grandet (maternal uncles) Britt Davidsen Siesbye and Christian Scherfig.
On 11 August 2015, he will start school at Sct. Joseph Sostrenes Skole – a Catholic private school in Ordrup.[
