Primula prolifera is a flowering plant in the family Primulaceae. Its botanical names is currently unresolved. It is also known by the common names Candelabra primrose and Glory of the Bog.

Description

Evergreen herbaceous perennial.

  • Height: Flowering stalks reach up to 75cm.
  • Leaves: Deep green, spoon-shaped simple leaves arranged in a basal rosette.
  • Inflorescences: Flowers born in whorls.
  • Flowers: Bright golden-yellow, fragrant, measuring 2.5cm (1in) across.
  • Range

    Found from the eastern Himalayas to Indonesia.
