Primero, Colorado

Primero is a ghost town in Las Animas County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.

A post office called Primero was established in 1901, and remained in operation until 1933. The mining community was one of the first in the region, hence the name. An explosion at the Primero mine killed 75 miners in 1910.
