President of Tsinghua University

The President of Tsinghua University is the chief administrator of Tsinghua University, a major public academic institution of higher learning, located in Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. Each is appointed by and is responsible to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, who delegate to him or her the day-to-day running of the university.

The university's current President is Qiu Yong, who formerly served as Deputy President of Tsinghua University in December 2009 and received his Ph.D. in 1994 in chemistry from Tsinghua University.
