Pradeep Chapagain (Nepali: प्रदिप चापागाईँ ) is a Nepalese Singer, Lyricist and Poet of Nepal. He was awarded the “Bhanu Sahitya Puraskar-2012″ as part of his contribution towards Nepali Literature.

Career

Pradeep grew up in outskirts of Kathmandu valley in a beautiful village called Chhaimale located 22 KM south-west from the valley. He did his schooling from Shree Krishna Secondary School. He did Diploma in Civil Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Western Region Campus (WRC), Pokhara. He did his Bachelor of Civil Engineering (B.E. Civil) from University of Technology, Sydney in 2013.

He has published three Anthology collection of Ghazal, Sireto Shishirko in 2008 and Daandaa Maa Joon Chha in 2011 and Phoolharuko Yudda in 2014 (collection of poems). He was also awarded "The Nepali Vision Australia Youth of the Month - January 2014". for his contribution Nepali Literature.

Pradeep's third book was released in Kathmandu on 29 November 2014 by BBC Nepali Service chief editor and senior journalist Mr. Rabindra Mishra and senior lyricist Dr. Krishnahari Baral

He has released his debut album as songwriter which features 10 of his lyrical creations. The album titled Gumnaam. He is also one of the Committee Members of International Nepalese Literary Society (INLS) He is regular columnist for Plus977 Magazine and Nepalipatra Australia (Oldest Nepalese newspaper in Australia).

Pradeep released his debut single 'Man Parchha' with music video on YouTube on 7 July 2016. The song featured his own lyrics and composition of Sanjeev Singh.
