Pothaturpettai saw remarkable developments in the recent years During the tenure of MLA Dr. E.S.S.Raman for 10 years the town saw developments such as conversion of the roads leading to Tiruttani, Pallipet and Sholinghur as State Highways, establishment of an electric sub-station to provide 24x7 three phased power supply to Pothatturpet and a full pledged government hospital with 34 beds were established. A bypass road is boon to the locality. Operators such as ,Reliance ,idea, TATA docomo, jio 4G Vodafone, Aircel and Airtel provide mobile communications.
