The label primarily showcases the dark electronic music, a genre that was prominent in Hibou’s background. Hibou comes from a Goth-EBM-Industrial sub-culture, and a Hardcore-Gabber-Speedcore scene. Both of these strongly influenced the style of the label's productions, as well as the overall direction of the label.

To celebrate a decade of Posthume Records releases (2001-2011), a new digital (MP3) sublabel, "Division 44 Records", was started by Hibou and has since provided participating artists with an opportunity to release free material on the internet.
The virtual is now on, a sub-label as been created to reply to the current needs, please welcome the "Personal Monster Rec", also dealing as the previous underground dark movements.
Distribution
From 2001 until 2007, Phuture Rave Distribution handled all of Posthume's Tombe and SFRT releases. Due to the distribution company's decision to stop its production department, a CD alternative, in the form of a sublabel called “Officially Dead”, was launched.
Tombe Records
Label created in 2000 and Distributed in 2001 Posthume has had a total of 6 under this branch. Planned to be independent in 2000 (auto-produced and auto-distributed) the label passed under the hand of Phuture Rave Distribution (Cross Bones Family) England. For this reason, the original Tombe 01 test pressing differs from the one published with Phuture Rave Distribution later on. For example, the track called “Kill Her” replaced the originally planned one called “Morgen”. Dr. Strange (warmly recommended by the Cross Bones team) has 2 releases on this branch, and remains as one of the main actor of this label. We can also notice the first The Martyrs Of Doom production, one of the several Hibou’s side project including various singers.
SFRT Records
Label created in 2005 and dedicated to versus productions. A total of 2 releases due to Phuture Rave Distribution's end of production. For information, 2 more releases have been scheduled in the label agenda and never been out like Skinner (from Black Monolith Records) versus Hibou as the third opus of Tieum versus Hibou.
Officially Dead Records

This is a CD on demand system solution, based in the United States. All the released are also available in digital MP3 downloads via the Amazon United States platform.
UnderDark Records
Due to the end of their respective labels, “Dark Temple Records” and “Tombe”/"SFRT", Joshua and Hibou decided to work together on a new “fusion” label; “UnderDark Records” subsequently emerged 2009, in partnership with Tbook Productions France. In the area of the label's graphic design and artwork, the pair collaborated with Funeral Womb.
Division 44 Records
Digital sublabel (MP3 format) raised in 2011 to celebrate the last decade of Posthume Records. Division 44 Refers to the location where Allan Kardec is buried in the well known Parisian Père Lachaise Cemetery.

The first The Martyrs Of Doom productions are giving another vision/dimension of some previous Hibou's existing tracks. Later on, the band will deal with its own tracks and will also perform some band covers like The B-52s "Planet Claire" or The Young Gods "L'Amourir".

Contagious Sense
When Hibou met Sandra C., an Electro/Drum N'Bass Breaks/Industrial band emerged in the heart of Paris in the year 2002. Quickly, the fresh formation found its way since both performers are shared the same taste for alternative/underground bands as a Goth subculture in general. The name of the band (which is actually the Chorus of the track called "Shag") was accepted on the way back from a Gothic rock party, northern Paris. Sandra C. can also be found in other projects all around Posthume Records, she also produced a video clip in the Père Lachaise Cemetery for Hibou “Les Pleureuses Part. 2”.
