Portland Parish, New Brunswick

History

With the exception of the City of Saint John, Portland Parish contained all lands west of the St. Martin's Parish line through to the Lancaster Parish line. This parish disappeared when part of it became Simonds Parish, and the remainder, now known as the North End, was incorporated into Saint John City in 1889.
