Port of Helsinki (Finnish: Helsingin Satama, Swedish: Helsingfors Hamn) is owned by the city of Helsinki and is Finland's main port, specialized in unitized cargo services for Finnish companies engaged in foreign trade. Helsinki is also the busiest passenger port in Finland and fourth busiest in Europe, with diverse services to Tallinn, Stockholm, Travemünde, Rostock, Gdynia and St. Petersburg.

Harbours

The Port of Helsinki oversees three harbours:

  • South Harbour: passenger traffic (formerly cargo traffic, moved to West Harbour and Sörnäinen Harbour in 1980's)
  • West Harbour: passenger traffic (formerly cargo traffic, moved to Vuosaari Harbour in 2008)
  • Vuosaari Harbour: the cargo port, also passenger traffic
