The Port Dover Pirates are a minor hockey team that plays their home games at the Port Dover Arena in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada.

Summary

Children from the Port Dover area play hockey under the tyke (for 6-year-old boys & girls), atom (boys & girls ages 9–10), peewee (boys & girls ages 11–12), and midget (boys & girls ages 15–17) divisions using the Pirates name collectively. There has been a violent legacy involved when playing against their peewee rivals, the Delhi Legion peewee hockey team. The Delhi coach was ejected from the game that was taking place on February 26, 2001. A couple of hotheaded Delhi fans started throwing coins and a plastic water bottle on the ice. Port Dover was winning the game by two points when a rather boisterous Delhi fan threw a broom at the ice.

Play was halted and all 200 people in attendance were cleared from the arena.
