Porphyrosela homotropha is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is known from Ethiopia.

The length of the forewings is 1.45 mm. The forewing ground colour is yellow ochreous and shiny, irrorated with black scales. The hindwings are dark grey. Adults are on wing from November to January.

The larvae feed on Glycine max and Vigna species. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine is made on the upperside of the leaf. It is thick and protruding and greenish marmored at the underside. At the last stage, the mine becomes completely transparent. In most cases, the larvae live gregariously within the mine.
