History

Through the 20th century, immigrants from the village of Pontelandolfo found a new home in the United States. Many of these immigrants found a home in Waterbury Connecticut. These immigrants established the Pontelandolfo Society in 1930 and the Pontelandolfo Social Club in 1939. These two clubs merged in 1965 to form the Pontelandolfo Community Club. Twenty years later in 1985 the Ponte Women's Club was formed.

The Pontelandolfo Community Club grew from modest beginnings to an extensive complex. The club has grown and expanded to include a soccer field, basketball courts, indoor bocce courts, an outdoor pavilion for picnics and a banquet hall.
