Poisar is a Area of Kandivali in the western side of Mumbai. It gets its name from the adjacent Poisar River. A BEST bus depot is located here. Also, Poisar Development is a company that derived the name Poisar; they have the Poisar River integrated into their logo.

Poisar is an area located between Kandivali and Borivali. Poisar(West) comprises Borsapada etc. whereas Poisar (East) comprises slums and Thakur village and Thakur complex area.
