Areas of activity
Plextek RFI is a UK based design house specialising in the design and development of Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFICs), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) and microwave/mm-wave modules. Formed from Plextek Ltd's RF Integration team, it became a separate line of business within the Plextek Group in November 2012. Plextek RFI designed ICs cover baseband to 100 GHz and utilise the following technologies:

Several of Plextek RFI's consultant engineers are "Keysight certified experts" recognizing their expertise in use of the Keysight EEsof EDA ADS software. RF On Wafer evaluation of ICs is undertaken using a Cascade Microtech probe station and associated test instrumentation.
Many Industry white papers, peer-reviewed publications and technical tutorials are included on the official website. A dedicated YouTube channel is available covering video-based tutorials on all aspects of RF and microwave circuit design. Plextek's CEO has recently been interviewed in Microwave Product Digest on the future of GaAs, and his views on the wireless industry, and in Microwave Journal to accompany an article of the future of mm-wave packaging. He also provides expert witness advice on MMICs and related RF, microwave and mm-wave technologies.
Much of the recent focus at Plextek RFI has been on the design of mm-wave custom MMICs for 5G mobile applications.
