In a review for Variety, Dennis Harvey commented, "The Canadian film 'Pink Ludoos' stands out as perhaps the most adulatory film of recent times, due to its unashamed borrowing from a myriad of sources, particularly from Indo-Anglo comedies such as 'Monsoon Wedding,' resulting in a film devoid of any authentic moments."
