History

Pink Cone Geyser was named by the Hayden Survey. The geyser's sinter cone is a shell-pink caused by the presence of manganese and iron oxides. The same color marks other geysers in the immediate area, including Pink Geyser and Narcissus Geyser, indicating some communality but they do not seem to interact.
