Pind Makko is a village situated on the western side of the district Mandi Bahauddin. It is relatively larger village in terms of area as compared to other villages in its surroundings. The total population lies within the range of 7000-10000 approximately.

The former name of the village is Makko Dudhi. Makko is the name of a person who owned the village and hence the village was named after him.With time,the village got the name "Pind Makko".
The village is popular because of its active participation in district politics. It is between Miana Gondal and Miani. A railway station is also present. This station has been built by the local funds raised by people of the area. This railway station is used for the export of fruits and vegetables from the village to the markets of different cities. It has a phone exchange that provides the facility of communication to the nearby villages.
Education
High Schools for both boys and girls are present which provide basic education to the children of this village. These schools include two government and two private schools. A Madrassa is also situated in this village to teach religion Islam to the children. A hospital is also located in this village which provide the locals with medical facilities.

The era of the partition of subcontinent was the time of political awakening in this village.The two members of Legislative assembly were Chaudhry Umar Hayat Gondal who was an MLA from MUSLIM LEAGUE, and Chaudhry Ahmad Hayat Gondal who was an MLA from CONGRESS.
After partition of the sub-continent, an interval in the political progress of village came until the elections of first local bodies took place. Some prominent names of people selected as the chairmen of Union Council are Chaudhry Allah Bux,Chaudhry Javed Gondal,Chaudhry Ameer Gondal and Chaudhry Tassawar Shehzad (UC NAZIM)
