History

Construction of the Philadelphia Premium Outlets began on September 20, 2006. The construction of the center provided more shopping options for residents of western Montgomery County and also provided tax revenue and jobs to the community. The Philadelphia Premium Outlets opened at 9 a.m. on November 8, 2007 with 120 stores. The first Saturday that the outlet mall was open it took an hour for motorists to exit US 422 and 45 minutes to find a parking spot. An expansion completed in April 2008 brought the center up to 150 stores.

Some of the center's 150 outlet stores include Lane Bryant, Gap Outlet, Reebok Outlet, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Restoration Hardware, Sony, and Forever 21. The outlet mall also has a food court along with sit-down restaurants such as Ruby Tuesday.
