"Phil's Sexy, Sexy House" is the seventh episode of the seventh season and the 151th episode overall of the American sitcom Modern Family. It aired on November 18, 2015 on American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The episode is directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller and written by Stephen Lloyd.
Plot
The whole family is at Jay’s House for Thanksgiving’s meal as Gloria (Sofía Vergara) and Jay (Ed O'Neill) plan to steal everybody’s driver’s license in order to surprise them with a trip to Miami. Phil (Ty Burrell) has a client who happens to be a friend of Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and he helps him to sell his house.
Claire (Julie Bowen) notices that Phil is distant to her since she was cold with him, due to professional reasons. She decides to surprise him in the house, but actually Phil didn't notice Claire’s behavior because he was obsessed with a new role video game. As Claire misunderstands his words, she shows up with a medieval look.
But the couple aren’t alone in the house as Luke (Nolan Gould) and Alex (Ariel Winter) also are present. Luke hangs out with friends and secretly wants to taste beer, while Alex and Ruben pursue their romance.
As for Cameron and Mitchell, they also go to the house in order to spice their couple and it’s with disappointment that Phil discovers that everybody is at the house.
As Manny (Rico Rodriguez) has a school project, he welcomes Olive, a girl whose he fell in love. He seizes the opportunity to conclude with her, but Joe spoils everything by acting like a dog.
A last plot features Haley (Sarah Hyland), who arrives earlier and meets with Andy who is also in the house in order to help Phil. A series of incidents let them think that they’re a couple. As Haley departs, she quickly comes back and jumps in Andy’s arms, kissing him and indicating to the viewers that they’re both in a new stage on their relationship.
