Peter Nicholson (born 1946) is an Australian political cartoonist, caricaturist and sculptor, and a four-time winner of the Walkley Award for Journalism, with work published in The Age, The Australian, The Australian Financial Review, and the Nation Review newspapers.

Nicholson has also produced animated political cartoons for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the TV series Fast Forward and was involved in the Rubbery Figures television series.

Nicholson created the busts of Malcolm Fraser, Bob Hawke, Paul Keating, John Howard and Kevin Rudd which appear in the Prime Ministers Avenue in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
