History

Minack was born to a German father and Irish Australian mother in Richmond in 1961 or 1962.

Peter Minack Biography

In the 1980s, he sang in a punk band called I Can Run with bassist Eugene Cester and drummer Damian Cowell. The latter two would form TISM in 1982, with Minack joining them the year later. Throughout their career, TISM maintained anonymity, with Minack using the stage name "Ron Hitler-Barassi," a nod to his German heritage and support for the Richmond football team.

In 2000, he released a book based on the American Civil War called Campaigning with Grant.

TISM split up at the end of 2004 and Minack returned to his day job as a teacher in Melbourne.
