Sri Mayakoothar Devasthanam

Sri Mayakoothar Temple - Thirukkulandhai, Perunkulam is one of the Nava Tirupathi, nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamil Nadu, India in the banks of Thamiraparani river. All nine of these temples are classified as "Divya Desams", the 108 temples of Vishnu revered by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars. The route is from Srivaikundam to Tuticorin or Eral or Authoor buses.

Notabilities

The city was known in ancient times and is surrounded by paddies, reservoirs, streams and vegetation. Thiruvalutheesvarar Temple is also a significant feature.
