The Persian Gulf Forever (Persian: Khalij-e Hamishegi-e Fars ,خلیج همیشگی فارس) or Persian Gulf (Persian: Khalij-e Fars ,خلیج فارس), is a Persian language politic, protest and nationalist song performed by Iranian singer Ebi and produced by Mohammad Shams (with co-production by Ebi Hamedi)ا. It is the first single from the singer's first 1990s solo album, Khalij (English: The Gulf). The song is one of the greatest hits of Hamedi. "Persian Gulf Forever" was released on 1990 as the album's first single. Its lyric was written by Adel Hasani to defend Persian Gulf's historic reality, based on Persian Gulf naming dispute by some Persian Gulf Arab States. This song officially released on the label of Taraneh Records in 1990 in the United States of America and its first live performance was in Paris, France.

The name became a motto for this artistic protest movement in Iran. also the name "Persian Gulf Forever" was known as one of the 100 best brands of Iran by a national festival in the country. Afterwards several Iranian artists such as Zedbazi (band), Mohsen Chavoshi, Farzad Farzin, Shohreh, Aref, Homayoun Shajarian, Salar Aghili and etc, performed some singles in the same title with this song, for supporting the name "Persian Gulf". even in the RadioJavan and «Bia2.com», which are online listening websites, there is numerous single tracks about the name Persian Gulf by now.
In the decades since its release, "Persian Gulf Forever" has been covered, parodied, and sampled by numerous artists including Mahmoud Aligholi, Qasem Afshar and Mehdi Moghadarian. Mahmoud Aligholi covered this song for using in the film «Under the Skin of the City» which directed by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad a famous Iranian director. The song and its live music video was added to RadioJavan in February 19, 2013. until July 14, 2016 the song received over 2.3 million plays in «Bia2.com» a famous online listening Persian Music website. The phrase "Persian Gulf Forever" and the word "Persian", was mentioned on the song for five times. Also lyric mentioned Iranian historical sovereignty over the Abu Mosa and Greater and Lesser Tunbs Islands.
Background
The "Persian Gulf Forever" performed by Mahmoud Aligholi for the first time in 1981. afterwards the song was so famous and promoted with the edition of Ebi Hamedi in 1990 when he got a permission from the lyricist of the song Adel Hasani for performing it. But after Hamedi's edition Aligholi performed it again for using in the film «Under the Skin of the City» which directed by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad who is a famous woman in Persian cinema. in that time Aligholi performed the song with a copy of Ebi's edition and with the same modulation.
Vandalism on the song
at 2010 some internet users claimed that there are some noises on the section that lyrics mentioned Iran historical sovereignty over the Abu Musa and Tonbs Islands, in some editions of the song.
