They have an area of 1,243 acres (503 ha). The game lands are situated on Montour Ridge and have predominantly mountainous terrain. Game animals that occur within their boundaries include deer, grouse, rabbit, squirrel, and turkey.

Geography

Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 115 have an area of 1,243 acres (503 ha), making them the second-smallest State Game Lands in Columbia County and Montour County, after Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 329. They are located near Danville. Most of the game lands are in Point Township, Northumberland County, but a small area in its northeastern section is in Liberty Township, Montour County and Mahoning Township, Montour County.

Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 115 have largely mountainous terrain. The elevation of the game lands at their official coordinates is 1,063 feet (324 m) above sea level.

Major roads in the vicinity of Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 115 include US Route 11, Pennsylvania Route 45, and Interstate 80. They can be accessed via Township Road 330 from US Route 11. The game lands are mainly on the western part of Montour Ridge. They stand above US Route 11 and the Susquehanna River.

A stretch of road in the game lands is open seasonally, from two weeks prior to the start of the archery deer season to the end of the grouse season and again from the Friday prior to April's youth hunt to the end of the Spring Gobbler Season. This stretch of road is 2.2 miles (3.5 km) long. The Devil's Feather Bed and Red Point Hill are in their vicinity.

History and recreation
