Penguin Football Club was formed in 1890, it is situated on the central north coast of Tasmania, in the small coastal town of Penguin.

Penguin FC plays Australian-rules football in the North West Football League (NWFL), previously known as the "Northern Tasmanian Football League". It previously competed in the North West Football Union (NWFU).

Facilities include a home and away changing rooms and clubhouse with a licensed bar. The home ground (Penguin Recreation Ground) is only meters from the beach.

Penguin has six teams - Seniors, Reserves and Under 18's in the NWFL and Under 16's, Under 14's and Under 12's in the NWJFL. Their home kit is blue shorts and socks with a Royal blue and light blue jersey, hence the nickname of the Two Blues. Notable players who have played with Penguin include Russell Robertson and former 1963 Geelong Premiership Captain Fred Wooller
