Pelochyta is a genus of arctiine tussock moths in the Erebidae family. They are distributed in Africa, throughout India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Britain.

Description

Palpi porrectly upturned and slender. Antennae nearly simple. Fore wing with the costa arched. The outer margin and obliquely curved. Veins 3 to 5 from angle of cell. Vein 6 from below upper angle. Veins 7 to 9 are stalked. Vein 10 from cell. Hind wings with the anal angle slightly produced. Outer margin nearly straight. Apex slightly acute. Veins 3 to 5 from close to angle of cell. Veins 6 and 7 from upper angle. Vein 8 from near end of cell.
