Products

Pearl’s first product, RearVision, is an aftermarket, “easy-to-install” automotive backup camera and alert system that attaches around a license plate and sends video directly to your smartphone through a car adapter plugged into the OBD-II port.

The system is solar powered and features two wide angle high-definition cameras, one for daytime images and one infrared sensitive for low light conditions at night, 180-degree field of vision, multiple in-app views and zooms, and automatic software updates. RearVision's obstacle alerts to provide visual and audible alerts as you approach objects.

Pearl sells products direct to consumers through its own website and through Amazon.com and Crutchfield. In January 2017, Pearl announced a partnership with InstallerNet.

Funding

Pearl has raised $50 million in Series A and B venture capital rounds, from investors Shasta Ventures, Accel, Venrock and Wellcome Trust.
