Location

Peaches Boutique’s 20,000 square foot retail space is located at 5915 S. Archer Avenue in Chicago, IL, near Midway Airport.

History

Peaches Boutique was founded by Roy and Barb Surdej in 1984, beginning as a general women’s clothing store. Women’s casual clothing was gradually phased out while Peaches began to focus more specifically on designer dresses. Peaches was eventually re-branded as a prom, homecoming and special occasion dress and accessory shop.

Peaches keeps track of prom dress purchases and lets customers know before they try on a dress if that style has already been purchased by another prom attendee at that school. "We will not sell a girl a dress that has already been sold to a girl from their high school," said Jeff Surdej, store manager. "They can buy the dress in a different color, but everyone wants to have their own look.”
