Peace Counts is a German journalistic and educational project, with a focus on highlighting peace makers who may not have received significant coverage in mainstream media.
The project was started by journalist Michael Gleich, in cooperation with the German news agency Zeitenspiegel and the Institute for Peace Education in Tübingen. The stories produced by Peace Counts have been presented in several countries, including Sri Lanka, Colombia, Macedonia, Philippines, Russia and Côte d'Ivoire via photograph exhibitions, radio and television stories, and workshops for teachers, students, NGO staff, mediators and security staff.
