Plot
Oscar Bonsetter commits to a terminally ill fellow inmate that he will avenge the latter's death, caused by a brutal guard. As part of this pact, Oscar is informed about a hidden cache of money. After being released, Oscar's initial plan for revenge is disrupted when he encounters the guard, who is now disabled, and his enchanting wife, Rose. The narrative tension intensifies as Oscar's attraction to Rose deepens, complicating his original intentions.
