Pawan Munjal (Pawan Kant Munjal) is an Indian belonging to the promoter family of Hero group. Pawan is the third child of (father) Brijmohan Lall Munjal and (Mother) Santosh Munjal. He is 61 years old and currently serves as the Chairman, Managing Director & CEO of Hero Motocorp. India Today magazine ranked him #49th in India's 50 Most powerful people of 2017 list.

Personal

Pawan lives in Delhi. He is married and has three children. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. His siblings are Later Mr. Raman Kant Munjal , Suman Kant Munjal , and Sunil Kant Munjal.
Early life

Pawan Munjal is a second generation member of the Munjal Family, who has his origins from Punjab. He spent his childhood in Ludhiana and obtained a degree in mechanical engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Kurukhshetra in Haryana.
Career

Pawan Munjal joined Hero Honda Motors in the early 1980s as director took over as managing director of Hero Honda Motors (now Hero Motocorp in 2002. Pawan Munjal has successfully overseen the company's successful transition from Hero Honda to Hero Motocorp in 2011.
Other interests
Pawan Munjal has chaired the apex body of India’s automobile sector SIAM, besides heading groups on technology & innovation, sports and affirmative action at CII. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum.
Pawan regularly contributes to policy-making in India as a member on the Indian Government’s Development Council for Automobile & Allied Industry (DCAAI) and the Board of Trade (BOT). Pawan has also been Past Chairman of the Asian PGA Tour and Past President of Professional Golfers Association of India (PGAI).
