Paul Stokes (born 30 April 1972 in Dublin) is a former Irish footballer.

A striker he made a League of Ireland scoring debut for Waterford United at Bray Wanderers on the 31st of October 1993. In total he scored 7 goals in 13 appearances for the Blues before moving to Newry Town.

Paul was then transferred to Cliftonville F.C. for £10,000 where he really made his mark in two good seasons at Solitude, their leading scorer in 1996/97 with 18 goals which included a County Antrim Shield win.

He scored Cliftonville's first ever goal at home in European competition in a UEFA Intertoto Cup game in July 1996.

Stokes joined Shamrock Rovers in the summer of 1997 on a Bosman where in his one season he scored 3 league goals in 17 appearances. Overall, he scored 5 times in 22 total appearances for the Hoops including one appearance in the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup.

He joined Coleraine after his spell at Rovers.
