2016-17 Season
1 January 2017, FC Liefering revealed that they had loaned in the 18 year old Zambian striker Patson Daka from Kafue Celtic for the reminder of the season. He finished the season with FC Liefering scoring 2 goals in 9 appearances.
2017-18 Season
1 July 2017, Daka was loaned back to FC Liefering to play the season in the Austrian Football First League. This time he was loaned from FC Liefering's farmer club Red Bull Salzburg in the top division.
2016-17 Season
At the same time he played for FC Liefering he helped their affiliate club RB Salzburg to win the UEFA Youth League with 2 goals in 2 games.
2017-18 Season
Daka had impressed so much, so that the 30th April, Salzburg signed a five-year-contract him. He was loaned out to play with farmer club FC Liefering in the Austrian Football First League. 24 August Daka made his competitive debut against FC Viitoruö in the UEFA Europa League Qualifiers. 3 days later, 27 August, he made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga getting substituded into a tie between Red Bull Salzburg and Sturm Graz.
