Patrick Hing Tat Lau (Traditional Chinese: 劉興達; Simplified Chinese: 刘兴达; born December 4, 1960) is the chairman of EADG (Earthasia Design Group), district councilor of the Hong Kong Eastern District Council, and a professional urban designer.

Career
For over 20 years, Patrick Lau has been involved in landscape projects in China, such as Hong Kong Cyberport, Beijing Sanlitun Pleasant Villages, and Tianjin Water City. Projects he had constructed include Penny's Bay Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Beijing Olympic Aquatic Park, Olympic Village, and the Suzhou Old City revitalization project. Lau is a member of the Harbour-Front Enhancement Committee of the Hong Kong Government and the president of a non-profit organization promoting sustainable built environment known as the Asian Habitat Society. Lau has also been a member of the Steering Committee of the World Urban Campaign of the United Nations Human Settlements Program since 2009. He was elected chairman of the Hong Kong Trees Conservation Association. Lau is also the former president of the Hong Kong Institution of Landscape Architects.
Family
Patrick Hing Tat Lau is married and has three children: two daughters and one son. He also has five siblings: four sisters and one brother.
Education
Patrick Lau graduated from the University of Toronto in 1983 with a degree in landscape architecture; he also completed graduate school in 1989 at the University of Hong Kong with a degree in urban design.

Causes
The latest project in EADG held by Mr. Lau is supporting the new design school known as Peking University.
