Mannur is a place with a lot of historical importance.It was the part of the ancient chera kingdom and then the zamorins kingdom of calicut.The temples here are worth to visit.Some of them are ancient for over a thousands of years.The vadavorkurissy shiva temple in Mannur is the place where the legendary story of Parayi petta panthirukulam ends.The Mother of all the 12 of the panthirukulam "Adithi" ends her life over here.The place was ruled by nair rulers of Mannur Swaroopam.The Kaimakunnathu bhagavathy of Kaimakunnathu kavu of mannur is believed as the protector and blessing of this land.The Annual festival of this kavu is celebrated by the whole community of here.It usually happens in the month of March.The festival brings out the colours and culture of this region.In fact it is a thanks giving to mother goddess.The place also have the Sadanam Kathakali Academy.Kathakali is a famous dance form of Kerala.Shri Ramananda Ashramam of Mannur is a place of visit where anyone seeks a spiritual knowledge and solace.The Ramananda Ashramam of mannur was started by the great Ramananda Swami.The Ashram always welcomes the visitors and provides them with the availabe food.The place will really take to a spiritual experience.The paddy fields are the beauty of this place.The beautiful coconut trees and the welcoming people are charming features of this place.Whether rich or poor people of this place would like to come back to this Village for their final settlement. Pathiripala is a small village in Palakkad district, Kerala, India, between Ottappalam and Palakkad on the Palakkad - Ponnani state highway SH 23. It is the largest village between Ottappalam and Palakkad.

=Perur - (Lakkidi Perur Village)

Perur is a small village contributing the west side of Pathiripala. Perur is best known for its agricultural pattern and contribution. Dr.S.Santhi is a Famous Personality in Perur, called her by - People's Doctor - her selfless service and affection to local accounts to the name - people's doctor.

Pookattukunnu -(Lakkidi perur village)

Pookattukunnu is a village in Pathiripala. The river Bharatha Puzha flows near Pookattukunnu. A large quantity of vegetables, coconut and other products are exported from here. Pookattukunnu is connected to Paarapallam, Kottakad and Athirkkadu by road. There are many cattle farmers and a cattle farm in pookattukunnu. A large quantity of milk is also produced here.

Lekkidi-Perur, Mankara and Mannur Gram Panchayats together constitute the town. It is famous for its recently revived weekly vegetable market. Pathiripala is place which connects to Kongad. Pathiripala Higher Secondary School is situated near the junction itself. Pookkattukunnu, Nagripuram, Perur, Athirkkadu, etc...are nearby villages.
