Gorillaz passion pictures tribute
Passion Pictures is an independent production company established by CEO Andrew Ruhemann in 1987 with studios in London, Melbourne, Paris, and New York City.
The company's core business is its commercial and animation output which includes the Cartoon Network animated identity, the Gorillaz music videos and the Compare the Market.com commercial campaign featuring Aleksandr Orlov (meerkat). Passion Australia produced The Lost Thing directed by Andrew Ruhemann and Shaun Tan which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2011.

The department's first film One Day in September won an Academy Award in 2000 and they have since been involved in upwards of 30 films, including the 2012 BAFTA-winning The Imposter, and the 2013 BAFTA- and Oscar-winning Searching for Sugar Man. Passion's latest feature documentary Listen to Me Marlon which was released in U.S. cinemas summer 2015 and UK cinemas in October 2015. In 2017, the company produced the Netflix docu-series Five Came Back based on the book by Mark Harris.
Passion Planet is headed by director and Emmy Award-winning producer David Allen and produces innovative science and natural history documentaries.
