History
The side first took part in the first division Serie A from 1963 to 1965. Stabilising itself in the league from 1967, it stayed there until 1975 with a second place in 1968-69. It would win the 1968 Italian Cup and the 1969–70 FIBA European Cup Winner's Cup. Participating in the second-division Serie A2 between 1975 and 1978 and again for a solitary season in 1997-98, the club went bankrupt at the end of that season. Refounded in 2001, the club plays in the amateur Serie C Regionale as of the 2014-15 season.
