Paolo Petrocelli is an Italian arts administrator, violinist, musicologist, lecturer and UNESCO Expert in Music (Italian National Commission for UNESCO). He is also co-founder and president of the Youth Committee of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO.

Petrocelli is also the founder and president of EMMA for Peace (Euro-Mediterranean Music Academy for Peace), which brings together major institutions and artists under a shared passion for music to promote peace. Italian conductor Riccardo Muti acts as the organisation’s honorary president.
Previously, Petrocelli served as a member of the Board of Directors of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (Rome Opera House) and was awarded the Beinecke Fellowship at Yale University's, Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library.
Musicology
Petrocelli received his artist diploma in violin performance from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia and graduated in musicology from the Sapienza University of Rome and the Middlesex University. He specialized in the study of European music in the 20th century.
