Pant | Panth | Panta are a group of surnames that exist predominantly in India and Parts of Nepal. Its etymology traces back to the ancient periods of Yadava as well as Maratha Empires. People of this clan used to work for the courts of a number of kings primarily as ministers and advisers. After a period of few years , the community migrated to parts of Uttranchal, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal, their current Himalayan Homes.
