Pannaikadu is a panchayat town in Dindigul district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Can be considered as a heavenly modest valley village in Tamilnadu, As of 2001 India census, Pannaikadu had a population of 9396. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Pannaikadu has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Pannaikadu, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age. The main occupation here is agriculture of crops like coffee and bananas.
During British regime the last governor Sir Archibald Nye praised Pannaikadu as a modern village in the Madras state.

The view from Murugan temple is so catchy but it is a pity very few tourists are attracted to this place. If one travel two km towards north, Thandikudi, which is a nearby village on the way can witness a place with minimum sunlight due to thick forest.
