Panatoor is located on the Chittoor-Vellore road which is an intersection road from Bangalore-Chennai NH4 Highway,Village is located 2 km distance from the Tamil Nadu border.
History
The village supposedly came up around 500 years back when a few people belonging to Reddy community from Nellore came and settled here, which was then an area under the rule of Bomminayaka, who ruled Vellore.
Administration
The village comes under the Gudipala Mandal of Chittoor District and falls under the Chittoor assembly constituency and Chittoor parliamentary constituency.
Demographics
The majority of the village people are belongs to Reddy and Boya Community . Residents in the village speak Telugu.
Economy
Agriculture is the main source of occupation and income for the villagers here. Sugarcane, Mango, Groundnut, Rice, Coconut etc... are cultivated.villagers are also employed on near by Granite and Fruit canning units.
