History

Pan Asia Logistics was founded in Singapore by the German-born Christian Bischoff and the Singaporean Susan Tan. Having previous experience at the German logistics company DB Schenker and Thyssen Haniel, Christian Bischoff started Pan Asia Logistics’ operations in February 2003 and achieved with 50 employees a revenue of $20 million by the end of the year. In the following years the company expanded across the Asian Pacific region and established multiple offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Italy and Germany. The company was awarded the 'Entrepreneur of the Year Award' 2010 and the 'Enterprise of the Year Award' 2012 in Singapore. Pan Asia Logistics made $145 million in revenue 2013 and increased its revenue about 31% to $195 million in 2014.

  • Pan Asia Logistics International is the logistics entity of the corporate group and is the parent company of the logistics subsidiaries and branch offices in the various countries, and for the Pan Asia Logistics Container Line NVOCC.

  • Pan Asia Logistics Investments Holdings is the group's property development division and a joint venture with OKH Global Limited The real estate development arm is focused on the development of industrial real estate. Services comprise planning, investing, designing, building, owning and operating real estate assets for Pan Asia Logistics International and its clients.

    Warehouses and Logistic Centres

    Pan Asia Logistics owns and operates several warehouses and logistic centres:

  • 2011: Pan Asia Logistics Changi North Way warehouse is located at its headquarters and next to the Changi Airport in Singapore with a storage area of 18,581 m2 (200,000 sq ft).
  • 2014: Pan Asia Logistics Tuas Bay Drive warehouse is located in the west of Singapore and has 44,594 m2 (480,000 sq ft) storage area.
  • 2014: Pan Asia Logistics owns a warehouse in Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia with a storage are of 39,020 m2 (420,000 sq ft).
  • 2014: A Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) for Mercedes-Benz was built and is operated by Pan Asia Logistics in Anseong, South Korea. The total investment of US$50 million has a storage area of 27,871 m2 (300,000 sq ft).
  • 2015: Pan Asia Logistics is in process of building a Parts Distribution Centre for the BMW Group with 70709 m2 (761,100 sq ft) in Senai, Malaysia.
  • 2016: The largest warehouse of Pan Asia Logistics, the Volkswagen Regional Distribution Centre, will be developed with a built-up of 105,934 m2 (1,140,900 sq ft) in Tanjung Pelapas, Malaysia.
